LinuxWorld Expo coverage comes to linuxnews.com

January 24, Eugene, OR-- Independent Film Director Curtis Lee Fulton
announced today that he will be teaming up with LinuxMall.com to deliver
timely multimedia coverage of the LinuxWorld Expo through the
LinuxNews.com website, February 1 through 4, while taping footage for his
upcoming documentary, "The Evolution of Linux."

"Digital video cameras and the web are just beginning to transform
journalism," said Fulton.  "With today's technology an individual can
tape, edit, compress, upload and publish quality video footage within an
hour of acquiring it, at an incredibly low cost."  Fulton said he will be
posting installments at LinuxNews.com, which will be in the RealAudio
format.

"We're happy to help Curtis distribute the footage from this project. I
think that the members of the Linux Community who cannot attend the 
LinuxWorld Expo will enjoy having access to coverage of the event," said

Fulton warned his audience not to expect usual television journalism.
"This will be quality stuff," he said, "it will be professional.  But it
won't look like something you're used to seeing on the six o'clock news."
Fulton said he takes a more cinematic approach to journalism.  "I hate how
television news always has to have a newscaster yammering over the
footage," Fulton said, "you're at the mercy of the narrator to interpret
the situation for you.  Why not let the audience make the observations for
themselves, or at least interview a real person and let them explain if
the story is so complex?"
